Description: The noisy miner has a black crown with black side of face containing a distinctive yellow featherless eye ring. White belly changing to grey breast with darker feather tips and grey brown back. Brown wings with green tinge to leading edge. Yellow beak and legs.
Habitat: Woodland and forests, adapted well to suburban areas and often seen in parks and gardens.
Habits: Very social bird working as a community, female will incubate the eggs however the whole communtiy will help with the feeding. They're an aggresive group and will attack much larger birds including kookaburras, crows and hawks.
Region: East Australia from Northern Queensland down to South Australia and Tasmania
Feeding: Mainly insects, nectars and fruits although it is not unknown for them to take small reptiles and amphibians
