Description: There are many varations in the Pogona genus due to it being bred for captivity. The Eastern Bearded Dragon is usually dark grey however it can even be red or yellowish brown in colour and bellies fading to white or pale grey with short spines down the flanks. They can have pale or dark patches on their bodies. The males have frills around their neck.
Feeding: Mainly vegetation, fruits and seeds however also eats small insects and will also eat smaller lizards and animals.
Range: Wetter parts of East and South East Australia from Northern Queensland to South Australia
Habitat: Wide range of habitats most commonly in open dry woodland and scrublands, often more abundant in recently burnt areas.
